Lorenzo Thayer (1805 - ) Lorenzo was one of two surviving sons of Ezra Thayer and Pamela Ketcham. Their first child died at birth. Marcia Baker (1807 - ) Marcia was born in Benson, Vermont. We know nothing of her parents, siblings or herritage.  Lorenzo and Marcia were married by D. D. Francis, Minister. . Alonzo and Marcia settled in Somerset, New York. Alonzo was a farmer and  Justice of the Peace in Somerset, New York. The Thayer family arrived in the American Colonies in the early 1600's. settling first in Massachusits and this branch later relocating to Vermont.
